The use of the terms "our, we, us" etc. throughout this website, refer to Absolute Music and its associates. SCHOOL TERMS + CONDITIONS

Below is a list of the terms and conditions that every student/parent agrees to abide by via written contract upon enrolling in Absolute Music:

 

  • Once we have agreed on a suitable day and time for your weekly lessons, you must show up on time.  There will be no allowances made for late comers as this impacts on the students who come after you.

  • We have a 24 hour cancellation policy.  If you are aware that you will not be able to make it to your regular lesson, you must notify us at least 24 hours before that lesson and we will organise an alternate time for you. For example: if your lesson is scheduled for 3.30pm on Thursday, you must call or text to cancel the lesson by 3.30pm Wednesday to receive a make up lesson . Students who call on the day or simply don't show up will still have to pay for that lesson! (Unless there is an extreme emergency).

  • Please note you are allowed a maximum of 2 make up lessons per term.These MUST be redeemed during the term (on a day/time agreed to by yourself and the teacher) or in the first week of school holidays immediately following that term.Make up lessons will not be carried into the following term.

  • Term fees are to be paid before or at the first lesson.  If payment is not received by the 1st lesson a late fee of $10 per week will apply.  Teachers also have the right to turn the student away  if the payment has not been made by the due date.

  • Payments may be made via cash, cheque, credit card or internet transfer.  No refunds will be made to those who stop lessons mid term.

Other important aspects to consider:

  • If a parent accompanies their child into their lesson, the parent MUST refrain from talking on the phone or interrupting the teacher during the lesson time.We ask that you kindly turn your phone to SILENT and walk outside if you need to take a call urgently.The teacher does reserve the right to ask the parent to wait outside if they feel the lesson’s productivity is being disrupted

  • The teachers at Absolute Music are highly qualified and experienced musicians who go to great lengths to ensure your child receives the best tuition possible.Please refrain from telling the teacher how to do their job or what you think they may be doing wrong during the lesson.If you would like to offer some feedback or opinion, you are welcome to contact us directly and discuss any concerns you may have

  • Please do NOT send a student to their lesson if they have a contagious illness (such as a chest infection or gastro) as many people – including the teacher – are at risk of catching it.

  • Please do not expect the teacher to push your child to progress through the grades as quickly as possible if the child is not ready.We at Absolute Music pride ourselves on achieving a high level of success with our exam students and will not allow our standard to drop for the sake of reaching a certain grade level quickly.A musical skill is something that requires patience and the hand of time!

  • Please treat our studios with your utmost respect.As these are home studios we ask that you do not allow your child to play with anything other than their instrument and eating or drinking in the studios is not allowed.
