Jann Baxter has been involved in the distribution and production of production music since 1986. Firstly as a manager at EMI Music Publishing, Jann was very successful in increasing the dominance of this publisher. Head hunted by Zomba Music in 1990 she became one of the Directors of Zomba production Music where they were able to take the company into a dominating position with Zomba & BMG catalogues.
In 2003 Zomba was purchased by BMG and Jann became the General Manager of the production music department. Now the opportunity has arisen for a new independent production music company. Absolute Music Publishing will concentrate initially on a few selected bigger production music catalogues and the production of a small boutique library.
